I have attempted to work several low altitude time sights with the N(x) sight reduction table found on the Emergency Navigation Card from Startpath without success.
For example, given a DR position of 42d24mN, 86d17mW at 23:37h UT March 6, 2015, with the sun's GHA of 171d27m and dec of 5d29mSouth, I should get results on the order of Hc -0d9m and a Zn of 263d. I am not getting anything close to these results even allowing for the abbreviated nature of the table. Higher altitude sights at least give ball park results with the N(x) table. The table is limited to whole degree integers between 1 and 89 so I do understand that a Hc value of less than 1 is going to be an issue, but I would think that results should at least approach 1, something that I am not getting for my results.
I am curious if I am at fault here.
Thank you
