The fun of this exercise was to figure out how there could be pinholes in this otherwise linear assembly. So, I modeled in Solidworks, and , lo and behold, at just the right viewing angle, a little triangular aperture formed by the frame and two adjacent louvers. I also include a natural 'work of art'
Now, I know some of you have boasted about your pinhole experiences, but top THIS! The year 1991, the place, Mazatlan. The longest total eclipse in hundreds if not thousands of years. Seven and a half minutes. Plenty of time to look around at the water, the beach. During partial, I saw, and will post the photo when I find it, half a dozen pigs, sheltering themselves under trees, and all sporting jolly solar images on their ample flanks.
