Thanks for your thoughtful reply.

I think I own and have read all Moitessier's books  :-)  as well as
several hundred other sailing related books, but had not heard of Fogar.

If you hear of an English translation of Fogar please let me know,
though they might be too expensive I'd like to know they exist, even if
at a prohibitive personal price.

I live in Atlanta, unfortunately, though the homeport for my boat is
Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada. The reason I mention this is that I
hope to sail over to your area as soon as I'm competent to do so  :-)
