Hi Doug,
I’d say neither common or priceless.
First published 1803. New copies listed from $38 to $73.
Abe books has an 1877 that sounds ok for $45 and one listed as “poor” from 1917 for $34.
I have one from 1963, kindly given to me by D. Denny from Chichester when there was a discussion of haversines. It has condensed to a collection of tables.
It’s an interesting historical book. It might be useful for a scan if there’s not one already.
It would go well with a sextant on display.
You’ve probably got the only one in your neighborhood.
Regards, Noell
