I phoned the dear lady at Cookes a couple of days ago. She was going to send me a What's-App photograph of some clips they'd recently ordered from China for a customer. Unfortunately, the photograph never arrived, so I'll check again on Monday.
Any clips will have to retain their springyness. I though I might tinker around with the fuse holders inside a UK 13A plug or similar. There're also the contact strips on an old style 4.5 volt or 3V zinc-carbon dry bike light battery. They're prety springy, but drilling might be a problem. DaveP
