My old Nautical Almanacs are in safe storage some distance from here. Also, it's fairly expensive to have the box of books dug out. But if someone has to have numbers for a particular date, let me know. I'll get the information to him within a week or so.
When working old observations I made copies of the Almanac pages for those months I'd be using. There's October 1800 and several months each from 1803, '04, and '05. Sometimes I only copied those pages of use to a navigator.
If a computer savvy person were willing to copy these numbers into a spreadsheet and analyze the differences between them and modern numbers he might find he had the makings of a valuable paper. If anyone is interested I'll send the bundle of copies to him. One of Alex's students, perhaps?
