Greg,
I use the 2102-d quite a lot and have found it very helpful. I was wondering if there were other uses for the star chart and, that while simple, it has been extremely helpful and informative.
Thank you for the reply.

The better tool for star sight planning is the 2102-D starfinder. The starfinder is set to LHA Aries for time of twilight and gives the approximate altitudes and azimuths of available navigational stars to preset the sextant. The USNO star chart (PDF attached) could be used for determining star meridian passage but not good for selecting a perfect round of stars (azimuths 120° apart).
