With the Astrolabe, Dos or PC, we can tell the height of any celestial object, at any time, from anywhere, with an accuracy of one dégrée, without any calculation. Pictures : one is a réplication from an old strolabe. One is shopping that you could use the instrument to calculate the height of the sun for example.
