Still breathing,(just). Hope to keep going long enough to learn the answer to the great existential question. Is there/was there life elsewhere or are we really alone on this little blue globe?
Do watch BBC Brian Cox on the latest miraculous NASA mission. He's not to everyones liking, still looks like a young Beetle from the 60s, but he is actually a 54 year old full professor of partcle physics at Royal Society and Manchester Univ, you know, that place where Rutherford,Chadwick,Bohr,Geiger, Marseden et all worked out the structure of the atomic nucleus, albeit over a hundred years ago.
Anyway, Perseverance is busy digging up samples from a spot that looks identicle to one in Australia at the assumed dawn of terrestial life 3.8 billion years ago.NASA are actally going to send some samples back for analysis. The brilliant technology defies belief.
Unfortunely, even if life may have occured on the moon at the same time as earth, this would suggest a single genesis of one life form. We couldstill be alone.I want to see a second genesis of a dfferent life. This would suggest that life could be universal, Wonderful
Best to all
Francis
