I’m afraid Stellarium is unstable on my PC if I start fiddling around with position and time, so I’m stuck with ‘Navigator’, which doesn’t fill in the background minor stars, so all I can look for are likely parts of the night sky filled with nothing very much. This suggests a view from the Southern Hemisphere. Couple this with the building, reminiscent of European designs from the late 19th to early 20th century, and perhaps we’re looking for a latitude within the Argentinian Pampas.
The inclination of the February 2022 Starlink losses, along an inclination of 53.2 degrees, extends the potential observation zone down into Patagonia. This region, relatively remote and less populated, would provide an ideal vantage point should the streaks be attributed to Starlink re-entry. Yet, the presence of light pollution on the horizon challenges this notion, hinting at a more northerly location. Is anyone else looking in this area? DaveP
