    Hi,

    I too uploaded the image to Astronomy.net but selected the right-hand part showing only stars.

    This time there was a solution and confirmed my hunch that the cluster to the left of the house looked familiar. It is the Double Cluster in Perseus and the streak can be seen to end in the central part of Perseus, near alpha Per (Mirphak).

    I have not done a further detailed analysis but it appears that we looking more-or-less exactly north from a latitude of approximately  36° N.
