Hi Frank
Here is paragraph 2 of Steve's question: " I want to use the Celestial Tools software to help with the planning (unless there is a better way)."
I took that to mean he wants to use Celestial Tools as his preference to determining the Zn.
Stan answered him, using Celestial Tools explanations.
Others attempted other methods, like USNO & etc. But better is subjective, his preference is Celestial Tools.
I suggested the 2102D. It's a direct, non electronic method of determining azimuth or Zn, and thus the cuts. It's just not his preference!

Brad Morris, you wrote:
"However, the original question was how to do it with 'Celestial Tools' "No, that wasn't his question! Steve mentioned 'Celestial Tools', that's true, but what he asked was how azimuth difference was connected with the angle of intersection of the LOPs. Trouble is, that's so obvious that most people here read right through it and didn't get it.
