Thanks to all that replied.
I managed to pick up a new in the box Francis Barker Precision Sextant.
I also managed to find the manual on Navlist.
It looks like its new in the box and the leather case is in pristine condition.
It seems to be a rather rare item and was a much better price/risk than buying a "antique model" in unkown condition or possibly fake and probably more repairable.
I will lubricate it and try and preserve the leather than test it. Its enough for my curiosity for now.
