The item was never used and was just in someones possession.
I will have to first do an evaluation on it, on many occassions people "claim" things and when you get the item it has broken or missing parts and the item cant work correctly. The people who sell these items know very little about it, hence the low price.
I will post some observations once I have learned more about the instruments use.
I have attached docoment that i found on the web, its in German about using this sextant. It might be useful if you can translate it.
Maybe someone else who owns a Francis Barker sextant can comment if the unit had an accessory telescope. This picture shows one however the manual only indicates peep sights?
