Regarding the Hinks paper and follow-on discussion that you excerpted in your 4 Feb 25 post:
In July 2007 I downloaded that 1910 Hinks paper and discussion from JSTOR, along with a later (1926) note from Hinks. I have attached them as three .PDF files, named:
