I pronounce it /ˈbiːtəldʒuːs/ (Beetle-juice). Wikipedia gives multiple possible pronunciations, including:
- /ˈbɛtəldʒuːz/ – Betle-jooz
- /ˈbiːtəldʒuːz/ or /ˈbiːtəldʒɜːrz/ – Beetle-jooz or Beetle-jirz
- /ˈbiːtəldʒuːs/ – Beetle-juice
- /ˈbɛtəldʒəz/ – Betle-juz
Interestingly, the possibility of using a hard 'g' (as in goose) is not mentioned. Perhaps this is because, as stated in the etymology section, the name may be derived from the Arabic بيت الجوزاء Bait al-Jauzā' (House of Orion). [Or, possibly a mis-transliterated يد الجوزاء Yad al-Jauzā' (Hand of Orion).] الجوزاء al-Jauzā' being a feminine name from an old Arab legend.
