The default datum in your GPS is WGS 84 which is almost identical to NAD 83 which has diferences in the 100 meter range from NAD 27 which is the datum on many topo maps. I believe (but am not sure) that Google Earth uses WGS 84. But none of these should affect the calculation of celestial coordinates so I wonder if the problem isn't in the nav program you are using or in the way you are using it.
