I must be missing something. I don't see any other point on the red circle that would have the same azimuth as the great circle from the red pin to the blue pin It seems to me if you extend the isoazimuth it crosses each meridian until it gets to 180 degrees from the long of the GP (blue pin). After that shortest great circle path goes the other way. I suppose if you are doing HF radio direction finding short and long path are relevant. Is that what you mean?
