    I did receive a copy of the message I think you are
    referring to, sent Wed 29 Mar 2006 at 08:48:37, but it
    isn't in the archive.  I did find an interesting
    thread on this topic from back in 1999 that would have
    led you to the relevant code on Andres Ruiz's web
