    Re: Position from two azimuths

    Hi Kermit,

    1) I obtained the GP’s of the two stars from the aries_stars spreadsheet based on the UT info.
    2) I opened two copies of the intercept spreadsheet and placed those GP’s in there.
    3) By looking at a globe I picked the initial AP to be 10° S, 150° W, placed it into the two repurposed intercept spreadsheets, and looked at the computed azimuths.
    4) I manually varied the AP to simultaneously match the two prescribed azimuths the best I could.

That last step took some time; therefore, if I had to solve this problem on a regular basis, I’d want to adopt some automated solver algorithm.
