To be honest, I consider this "Practice Bubble" a mere toy. It doesn't train a navigator much in the use of the sextant, and the level of potential accuracy is very low, probably too low for any meaningful experimentation. You don't have to worry about that 15' Moon correction because the practice bubble really isn't capable even of that basic level of accuracy.
For backyard practice, try lunars. Or if you have some mechanical skill, build a nice leveled front-surface mirror to serve as an "artificial horizon".
