Just to pile on to what David P. said - you can get the H.O. 249 vol 2 & 3 free download from many places on the internet. I think that vol 1 is also avaible for download - the only volumn that goes out of date.
The official, U.S.N.O. Air Almanac is avaible for free download at their website, just Google " USNO Air Almanac". It is basicly the same as the Nautical Almanac but lists data ever 10 minutes vis every hour and the moon data is less precise.
I prefer paper books but to learn or carry around with you the e-book versions are good and free.
