Dear Frank, by dumping the concept of so called constellations I mean to stop saying exactly that - "The Moom is in the Virgo". Everyone perfectly knows it is not like that.
I mean we should rely on commonly recognised coordinate grids (SHA, GHA, LHA, Dec, ecliptical and galactical longitudes, latitudes etc). For the "constellation" word (as the unwashed masses use it) there is very appropriate substitute - the asterism. However, the stars that share common origin, moving in gravitational interaction, - could be called the constellation - in the scientific meaning of the word.
The "something is in the Virgo" is pure astrology stuff, whould you consult an "astrologer" before your journey or will it be the meteorologist, cartographer and your first mate?
Cheers! :)
Warmest regards,
Tony
