    Ha ha ha. :) No, no. Nothing like that.

    At each equinox and solstice, we go through a ritual process of announcing the Sun's declination one way or another. This time around, I decided to go for something a little "surreal" for entertainment value. Nonetheless, I stand by my weather forecast: a few months from now, there will be ice here in mid-northern latitudes! And we can blame that on the passing of the equinox, now only five and a half hours away...

    I'm impressed that you caught that. I did the math wrong on the first pass and then decided to leave it as a sort of "Easter egg" for someone to catch. I really didn't expect anyone would notice given the absurdity of my post. ...Nice. :)
