Please find attached some photos of the French nautical chart that led me to do a little research into the designation of the Greenwich meridian as the Prime Meridian in 1884. This chart, dated 1771, uses the "Meridien de Paris" as the initial line for numbering "longitude orientale" and "longitude occidentale."
