Mixter is good for cel nav not too much on air stuff. Pretty much stick to Weems, and Dutton's Navigation and Nautical Astronomy has a small section on air nav.

Subject: [NavList 22325] Primer of Navigation - Mixter
Hello:
In overview, I've learned a lot from Mixter's Primer of Navigation, 2 nd edition 1945. But this edition does not spend any time on the most modern "air" tables and methods for solutions.
I would appreciate from the List info on the best edition to purchase with more modern approaches. I'm thinking an edition some time in the 1950s, or even the early 1960s, when rapid development was occurring, but hopefully the book was not totally rewritten. I like the style.
Thanks
Bruce
