    All the objections of the user of your tables are absolutely correct.

    Here are some thoughts about sextant range:

    Today and yesterday I took Sun’s lunar distances with SNO-T sextant. This instrument is graduated to 140°. Yesterday maximum sextant  reading was 124° 43,5’; today maximum sextant reading was 136° 39,1’.

    I have measured several Sun’s lunar distances around 33°. The record was 28° (only once under excelent weather conditions).   

    As you can see these angles are out of range of 40°-120°.
