OK, Frank, you convinced me. Maybe it is not morphine painful, but it is at least ibuprofen painful.
Fortunately for me, I never had any intention of programming this. It was just a mental exercise. It got my attention when I was given an old copy of AstroNavPC (NavPac in the UK). With the push of a button, you can "Select best 7 stars", which are the 249 stars.
Murray Peake told me about a Python program that might help. Looking at the source code without seeing the program run just hurt my head (somewhere between ibuprofen and oxycodone), so I tried to run it, but I was unsuccessful. I kept getting a syntax error on line 57 that I do not understand. I'll get back to it after I clean my gutters and rake some leaves. Too nice a day not to get some outdoor work done.
