Hello,
One more change during selecting best six stars set. Namely, for each LHA this set might be different, but the original Pub 249 Vol 1 presents the same set for each 15° intervals of LHA. So, let us do the same. We select the best six star set for each LHA and check which one occured in most cases. Let us focus on 51°N and 180° <= LHA < 195°. Below I present how often such set exists:
- Alphard/Deneb/Mirfak/Pollux/Rasalhague/Spica: 5,
- Alphecca/Deneb/Mirfak/Pollux/Regulus/Spica: 4,
- Deneb/Denebola/Mirfak/Pollux/Rasalhague/Zuben-bi: 4
- Alphard/Alphecca/Deneb/Mirfak/Pollux/Spica: 1,
- Arcturus/Capella/Denebola/Kochab/Procyon/Vega: 1.
It looks like that for such conditions the best one is Alphard/Deneb/Mirfak/Pollux/Rasalhague/Spica, secon best are Alphecca/Deneb/Mirfak/Pollux/Regulus/Spica and Deneb/Denebola/Mirfak/Pollux/Rasalhague/Zuben-bi, respectively. The file L051N-LHA_180-194_v2.txt contains precalculated Hc and Zn for Alphard/Deneb/Mirfak/Pollux/Rasalhague/Spica.
One can see that i.e. for LHA=180° Alphecca (42°51.1', 100.0°) was replaced by Rasalhague (13°29.9', 86.6°) and Regulus (44°51.8', 219.8°) by Alphard (21°53.8', 219.8°).
Best wishes,
Rafal
