For both puzzles (g54430 and g54431) I have used +15°C / 1020 mb.
(1) - Venus / Capella :
21:51:00 - N55°01.0' / E 002°29.2 '
22:11:00 - N55°00.0' / E 002°29.2' just 1 NM due south. Makes sense given course and speed.
(2) - Vega - Arcturus
I haven't computed back sights for ages.
Nonetheless, my software should be able to automatically run them without any special setting I can remember of.
If so, and if am using it correctly, result is :
23:31 - N54°54.9.0' / E004°18.0'
If this position is not correct, excellent opportunity for me to debug this section of my software.
Looking forward to other solutions then.
