Re your refraction quiz, I see no harm in using a few (otherwise unjustifiable) extra decimal places. My suggestions use Bennett's refined formula for refraction, though Astron can use others.
At 10°C, 892hPa, I make the refraction correction -0.8540'. At 80°F, 892hPa, it becomes -0.8066'.
To get -0.8066' refraction correction, a pilot would have to fly at 6080', assuming 10C and 1010 hPa MSL.
