If I bought a barometer in Denver, or worse yet Breckenridge, while on vacation and set it on my mantel at home (approx. 608 ft above sea level) the thing would peg unless adjusted? Unless it blew up in flight. Do remember buying Twinkies, chips etc. in Denver to save a few bucks before the drive to Breckenridge, and noticing the unopened packages had taken on a blow-fish appearance when we unpacked at our 12,000 foot condo. As I mentioned to another list member, "Fool proof underestimates the ingenuity of the common fool." Bill
