If you had taken the wrong limb reading (upper limb vs. lower limb or vice versa)then your artificial horizon observation would be too big or too small by 64'. Dividing by 2 then results in a Hs discrepancy of 32'(about the error you have noticed). The next time you do a set of Sun observations with the AH take upper limb, lower limb, and overlapping observations. This should prevent mixing up the limbs.
