Thanks, Stan. Every so often 'we happy few' do get ours back. :-)

Hewitt,
Some of us righties have had to learn to write lefty!
Ha! Not really, at least in my case. But, seriously, I can see your point. Never thought about it that way.

FWIW re southpaws and sextants:
I'm left-handed and liked the fact that holding the sextant with my right hand I did not have to let go of the sextant or shift it to the other hand in order to write down sights. So, to me being a lefty is an advantage.
Hewitt
Yes, that was apparent to me. I thought my quotation marks and smiley would be enough. :-(
I thought it was particularly timely in light of Frank's recent "oops" saying that sextants favored left-handed people.

Stan,The negative was probably transposed in the dark room. Any visible arc numbers or lettering should verify this.Greg RudzinskiRe: Retracing Sir Shackleton's journey

I finally got around to watching the first of the three episodes. The original expedition must have had money to spare. The photograph of Worsley shows him holding a "custom left-handed" Hezzanith sextant. ;-)Stan
