So far results appear more appropriate to naval architects, and on the surface appear to deal with bow waves, as opposed to the underwater/downward component. Over my head. Given the hull speed = sqrt of LAW x 1.3 can be broken by racing sleds, yet it remains a good rule of thumb. Its simplicity is what I seek. A rule of thumb for LAW when speed vs. theoretical hull speed is impeded by the downward vertical pressure wave striking the bottom. Bill
