Here on the island where I live in the middle of Narragansett Bay, there is a little tiny newspaper, and in the past few days there has been coverage of a maritime mishap that some of you may find interesting. Read here:

But if you want to experience the "loss of power" incident almost live, be sure to check out these videos from Newport Harbor (with binoculars, I coud have watched some of this from my backyard). You won't often see a big tall ship banging around a harbor like this. Bear in mind that the vessel was departing a "seafood festival" with a helluva lot of drinking in the day. Heads should roll. Insurance rates should skyrocket.
