    Thanks, Patty, from your account it sounds more severe than reported. And also,
    apparently not at all uncommon. I suppose one of them will have to roll over and
    capsize before any of the international bodies address the issue. From the
    little they discuss it seems like the autopilots have no "tilt" stop, i.e. to
    disengage them if the vessel lists too far. What a shame it would be if the
    answer were that simple and the cruise lines were simply ignoring it. That the
    USCG also ignored it and allowed the next group of passengers to board and
    go....that's perhaps more frightening. I'd condemn the ship as grossly unsafe,
    until someone made a full statement of what the problem was, and how it had been
    corrected--in the past tense. But I suspect money and politics have overridden
    safety here.
