Praise be to the Star Finder, in its glorious incarnations! First, it did appear as the rude Rude, simple in form and born without pouch. Then it showed its countenance as the "2102-A" and all obedient navigators did bow their heads in awe of the dreadful beast. Its holy design flaws soon came to be published in the Testament according Bowditch, the Holiest of Holies. Thou shall not mock it!!! And lo, with the passage of the Moons, the Star Finder was next incarnated as the "2102-B". Mortal navigators again shunned the tree of knowledge, and they did thusly worship once again the Star Finder Beast. Then "2012-B" begat "2102-C" which did beget "2102-D", in that order which the Prophets had foreseen, and the faithful did follow its ritual in holy servitude. Yet, verily, as Aries rises in the east with the twelfth planet at the celestial colure, the end is nigh! What shall the navigators of the before time do when the Holy Star Finder is no more and has been set aside by the Generation of the Millennium? There shall, in that time, be rumors of things going astray, and there shall be a great confusion as to where things really are, and nobody will really know where lieth those little things with the sort of raffia work base that has an attachment. At this time, a friend shall lose his friend's hammer and the young shall not know where lieth the things possessed by their fathers that their fathers put there only just the night before, about eight o'clock. Yea, it is written in the book of Bowditch that, in that time, shall the third one rise to glorify the Star Finder once again.
