Hello!
I would like to ask for some advise to those NavList members who own SNO-T sextants. I recently purchased a SNO-T sextant (made in 1987). It was in very good condition, not used. But when I installed Galilean telescope (the small one) I noticed that it’s optical axis is out of alignment about 2,5 degrees (optical axis is not paralel to the plane of instrument). You can see how it looks like in attached image. The question is: is this typical for these sextants or is it a defect of manufacturing.
There are no problems with inverting telecope, because it is adjustable.
I will be very glad to receive some coments from other SNO-T owners. Do you have similar Galilean telescope axis inclination problem?
