Just a simple question, on internet I did not find the answer. I live on 52° North at sealevel. I can never see Stars (above the horizon) that have a S declination more then ?? °regards HermanD
See below. 38 degrees South plus about 1/2 degree for atmospheric refraction. My answer confirmed by the Philips' Planisphere for 51.5 degrees North, readily available for purchase still on the www https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/Books/Philips-Planisphere-Latitude-51-5-North/1849071888/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1485340397&sr=8-1&keywords=Philips+planisphere , which would suit you fine at 52 degrees North Herman.
