That seems to heve been particularly prescient, now that Frank has
suddenly and unilaterally decided to walk off with his ball, and
    suspend NavList; just like that."

Insulting posts are inappropriate, and you know that.

As for taking away your "ball", there is nothing that you CANNOT do now that
you COULD do previously. So where is this figurative "ball" that I have
supposedly taken away?? Relax, George. You haven't lost anything.

I will reiterate: I have no interest in creating a schism in this discussion
group. Since the consensus which we had very nearly reached to shift to a
new list service fizzled, there is no point keeping a service which is almost
functionally identical active. The only features lacking "here" on
Navigation-L are a web interface (which is a concept that confuses many) and better
posting reliability. If those differences eventually become strong enough reasons
to move the group to NavList on googlegroups, then we are all set to go! The
list is alive and fully-functional. :-) I would even be happy to see you,
George, as an owner of that list when we actually MOVE to that service instead
of straddling the fence and/or creating a division within the community.

All this talk about "taking away the ball" has got me thinking about a game
of pool. For those of you who make it Mystic in two weeks, I will have to
introduce you to a neighborhood pub. They have the only pool table in town. It
costs a quarter to play (!!).
