    I make it look easy but the thing must weigh almost 40 lbs and there are no obvious hand holds, mounting or support points except at the optical dome circumferential ring.
    I have often relied on DoD (DoW?) manuals to run down information about aircraft instruments and equipment. My copy of AIR NAVIGATION is 1982. I'm curious if there is anything in the 1960 edition?

    If this went surplus shortly after delivery I'm a little surprised it didn't feature in any of the sci-fi TV shows of the day.
