Hi! I'm just starting celestial nav, and I bought a Davis Mk15 to train from the ground before trying from a bouncing boat. No problem with the sextant (I mean, I'm a beginner, so I don't need a very accurate one), but I have problems when aiming at the sun and going down to catch the horizon: the sun appears in the tube, above the mirror. Paintful! and dangerous too. What's wrong? I'm thinking of sticking lots of black celotape around the filters... Guillaume. ===== Guillaume Lancelin c/ Granate 8, 1C 41009 Sevilla Spain (+00) 34 626 22 56 29 _______________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
