I like maritime paintings and this one appeals. I have a child-like appreciation of strong colours so very much like the Victorian era, especially when 'science' is the subject of the painting.
--------
'Yellow Oilies and S'Westers'; wind blowing the jackets; stormy clouds, sextants! and seas running to a force seven at least. There is only one gap of blue in the sky however (enough to make a pair of sailor's trousers so it will clear up later) - obtaining a sight under such conditions would be a challenge.
