Supplement to the missive on Brashear's silvering process and the Mk IX BM mirror: I should have put this picture along with the others too; it is the mirror mounted in the sextant again after silvering. (The apparently speckled 'dirty' mirror is of course the reflection of the dirty speckled casing). Sorry, it's not a good picture nor, in focus properly. Douglas Denny. Chichester.
