    Shortly speaking,
Prism telescope has larger field of view and greater magnification, which
permits a better control of the touch between two bodies.
The disadvantage is that it is substantially heavier and bulkier.

    Both give you direct image.

From my experience the best is inverse image Kepler telescope which has all advantages of the prism
telescope, but is light and have wires in the field of view.
But the only modern sextant which is equipped with such a telescope is SNO.

    Alex.

I would like to know your opinion about the advantage of using a Prism
Telescope (7x35) compared to a Universal Telescope (3/4x40). Both have the
right image, or is it inverted?

    Thank you.
