Electronic sextant
Sextant is based on the first human knowledge and did not evoluate for centuries.
STARNAV used its astral navigation competences to develop a system providing the user's coordinates by using the star, sun, planet and/or moon position.
Composed of a camera and a inertial system, STARNAV allows to navigate without any astronomical knowledge.
The future esxtant is there! It constitutes a real alternative to the GPS, independant, and robust to jammers.
It seems that the project is now stopped!
