Oh, and I forgot to mention programs like Stellarium. I believe there is a built-in function to measure the angular distance between objects in the sky. (It used to be a plug-in you had to download separately.) Once you open Stellarium and set it to your location, you simply hit [Ctrl]+[A] and you can click and drag the mouse from object to object to measure the distance.
The "Sight Planner" function of Rodger Farley's free "Celestial Navigation in a Teacup" program has the same feature.
