yes - the two suns, as shown in my photo, appear just the same when using the scope. i should add - when looking at the sun (arc set to zero) with both shades on the horizon mirror and looking through the scope: on the right half (index mirror)i see only 1 sun; on the left half, i see two suns - one is far brighter and if i position the brighter one directly behind the index mirror image, i then see a second "ghost like" sun nearby. it is the second sun in the horizon mirror half of the image that confuses me.(as per my photo). This "ghost" sun will only appear if i use both shades on the horizon mirror. changing the index mirror shades makes no difference to this second sun.
should have said but yes, there is no perpendicularity error.
