I have built one of these for my sextons similar to the way Bill Mooris(spelling) IN New Zealand has done. While I had things apart I put cross hairs in it to use to keep sextant plumb for accuracy in altatude shots with out all that rocking and swing and guessing. Just some thoughts from one who ranks low as a cestial navigator.

Attached image shows a 7x35 scope on my Tamaya Jupiter (1980 yr). Looks like a match to the top foot print but not sure. It would be better to show an image of the mount to avoid confusion.
